John is cycling from Cairo in Egypt, in the North East of Africa all the way to Capetown at the southern tip of South Africa. It’s 5400 miles and will take around 14 weeks. Follow his weekly progress with both the cycling and also his Junior Duke Challenges. Just 3 days to go until 19 year old John sets off on his long bike ride from Cairo to Cape Town! Today, he arrived in Cairo, built his bike back up, met some fellow cyclists, went on a trip to see the pyramids and, thankfully, FedEx delivered his Junior Duke cycling kit! Phew.
