Worldwide Speed Skipping Championship - Nov 3rd to 28th
The Rules of Speed Skipping!
The Junior Duke Award is running a competition for children of all ages up to (and including) Year 8 (S2) and we would like all of the children in our school to enter!
We may have a World Champion in our midst!
What your child will need to do is to practise skipping with a skipping rope as fast as they can for 30 seconds. It’s tricky!
When ready, be videoed skipping for 30 seconds exactly. Please show evidence of the stopwatch ticking throughout the 30 second video. (There may be a few ‘takes’ to get the best attempt but it’s all about fun, fitness, health, coordination and the spirit of taking part)
What we need you to do please:
Before the deadline date of Friday 28th November, please click here to enter your child’s name (surname is optional but please give an initial) and age, school name, number of skips and video.
Then, print out the certificate you receive as evidence of entering the competition and send it into school so that we may present it at assembly! (mark on how many skips they did)
Deadline for entries: November 28!
So get practicing, get skipping, and let’s see who wins!
