Well done Ruskin Junior School!

Well done Ruskin Junior School!

We had our Year 6 celebration afternoon today.
We had our Junior Duke Ambassador, Rhys Evans, arrive and had a meet and greet afternoon. He introduced himself to the children and explained his background. He talked about how he attended our school as a child and how his football career grew. Rhys then explained how he changed careers and now works in the car industry.
Rhys allowed the children time to ask questions before presenting the children with their certificates. He had driven a Rolls Royce to school from where he works and allowed the children to have a look at it, which they loved. The children were then treated to an ice cream, squash and a bag of Haribo before posing for photos 🙂
The children had a great afternoon and really enjoyed meeting Rhys. I have attached a couple of photos from the meet and greet. Rhys also met with the children from the other year groups who had achieved the outstanding Junior Duke certificates. He took the time to look through their booklets and ask them questions about the tasks they had completed.
We look forward to launching the Junior Duke Awards in September.
