We are delighted to see the Junior Duke Award recognised in Burbage Primary School’s latest Ofsted report.
Inspectors highlighted the positive impact of the programme, noting how it helps to broaden pupils’ horizons while nurturing essential life skills such as resilience, confidence and teamwork. This kind of feedback is exactly what the Junior Duke Award is all about.
Designed to support personal development beyond the classroom, the Junior Duke provides schools with a practical and engaging framework to help children build independence and character. It gives pupils opportunities to challenge themselves, try new experiences and develop skills that will support them throughout their lives.
It’s particularly encouraging to see Ofsted acknowledge the Junior Duke as a helpful tool in supporting this wider development. When schools are equipped with the right resources, the impact on pupils can be significant; not just academically, but in who they become as individuals.
We’re incredibly proud to see the Junior Duke making a meaningful difference and to have its value recognised at this level.
Congratulations to all of the staff at Burbage Primary for all their hard work in receiving such a great inspection report!
